About the role
We are looking for a Customer Service Assistant to join our team at One Stop, a subsidiary of Tesco. In this role, you will work in a fast-paced retail environment, providing excellent customer service, stocking shelves, processing payments, and maintaining the store’s appearance.
You will play an important role in the daily operations, always focusing on improving service through on-the-job coaching and feedback, ensuring a safe environment for both staff and customers.
You will be responsible for:
* Serving customers with passion and pride, delivering natural service.
* Encouraging customer feedback through surveys.
* Assisting across various store areas including online, tills, replenishment, vending, and stock routines.
* Practicing safety and following training protocols.
* Participating in seasonal, community, and charity events to foster an inclusive atmosphere.
* Understanding store performance and contributing to profit delivery.
* Living our values, making everyone feel welcome, and following policies.
* Clocking in and out accurately for proper pay.
* Following security procedures and wearing safety equipment.
* Following the 'think 25' policy when serving age-restricted products.
* Responding promptly to assistance calls, explaining actions to customers.
* Maintaining a clean, organized store environment.
* Potentially managing shifts in the absence of supervisors.
* Following all training to ensure safety and legality.
If the store has a Post Office Local: Your duties will include managing daily operations, which require passing a background check. Failure to pass will result in withdrawal of the job offer.
