The Platform Equipment Delivery Team (PEDT) sits within the Submarine Delivery Agency (SDA) PEDT provides in-service and through life support for a wide range of Marine Equipment and inventory for the Royal Navy, across Astute, Vanguard Platforms. PEDT portfolio consist of a wide variety of approvals and contracts that are being replaced with modern, performance focussed agreements with industry to recover spares availability, improve reliability, reduce obsolescence and professionally manage our Submarine assets through life. The L3 Project Controller is a high profile role and sits at the heart of the above activities within the Programme Management Office working across all projects and functions to help produce a timely version of the truth in support of the various senior reporting boards. Typical main responsibilities being: To act as the key contact for project controls and to integrate and co-ordinate all project controls activities within the project/programme. To ensure the quality and accuracy of all project controls data and artefacts is in-line with SDA policy, as well as ensure that these are utilised by the PEDT Delivery Team. Work with the Project Managers, Operational Managers and commercial teams to ensure that contractor and supplier data is received in a timely manner, in an appropriate format and to the required quality. Analyse performance of projects against the PMB, and communicate it to the project teams to ensure effective delivery. Manage resource planning in line with the project schedule, ensuring resource demand is underpinned by robust BOE (driven by schedule activities) Manage project scope and change through robust assumption management and change control mitigation, to ensure that only documented, authorised changes are made. Coach and advise colleagues to ensure continuous improvement is prevalent and that required skills and capabilities are available. Communicate complex project controls data to key stakeholders of the project, programme and PEDT Leadership Team, in a clear and audience appropriate manner.
