1:1 Primary SEN Teaching Assistant
Location: Cornwall (Truro and Surrounding areas)
£89.38-£95 daily rate
Schedule: Part time/Flexible supply

We're looking for compassionate, resilient, and proactive SEN Teaching Assistants to join our friendly network of primary schools across Truro and the surrounding areas. You’ll be working on a 1:1 basis, supporting pupils with EHCPs - helping them to flourish both academically and emotionally.
Key responsibilities:
* Provide consistent 1:1 support to a child with an Education, Health and care Plan (EHCP)
* Work collaboratively with teaching staff, the SENCO, and external professionals to deliver targeted interventions.
* Support the pupils social, emotional, and behavioural development, including the use of de-escalation strategies during moments of distress.
* Confidently manage challenging behaviour in a calm, structured and supportive manner
* Build a positive, trusting relationship with a pupil to encourage independence and resilience.
Requirements :
* Previous experience supporting children with SEN, or awaiting assessment
* Confident in working 1:1 with pupils who may display complex or challenging behaviour
* Knowledge and experience of sing sensory based strategies to support engagement and regulation.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* A calm, patient, and consistent approach
* A valid Enhanced Child only DBS on the update service, or willingness to obtain one.
Desirable:
Level 2 or 3 teaching Assistant Qualification.
Any SEN- specific training or qualifications
