Able to carry out diagnosis and correction of equipment problems and the maintenance of facilities and production equipment. Key Responsibilities 1. Able to carry out diagnosis and correction of equipment problems and the maintenance of facilities 2. Carry out installation, testing, inspecting and commissioning of new electrical equipment 3. Carry out calibration of instrumentation once trained and when required 4. Rectification of fixed wiring inspection and testing regulatory deviations 5. Rectification of DSEAR compliance deviations 6. Accountable for maintaining, documenting maintenance work and improving maintenance procedures in compliance with GMP 7. Effectively communicate any issues at handover 8. On completion of engineering tasks, work status, including the root cause of the problem and any outstanding issues are to be feedback to the owner department 9. Understand and correctly use the following systems: Ø WORKMATE to raise job cards, complete assigned maintenance, review and update equipment history Ø EDMS to read, review and modify procedural documents, as required Ø BEAMEX to carry out and record instrument calibrations Ø DRAWING DATABASE to access, understand and update site electrical and control drawings when required Ø MYPIRAMAL to carry out performance management self-assessments and goal tracking Ø MICROSOFT OFFICE for general administrative tasks 1. To be aware of and follow the site systems for control of change, safety and risk assessment and waste handling when carrying out day to day activities 2. Provides and implements ideas that will improve efficiency, reduce cost or improve the safety of the operation. 3. 1:1 Training of apprentices, coworkers and other stakeholders 4. Supervision of contractors when required 5. Keep all work areas tidy Critical Tasks 1. Work in a safe manner as to not endanger yourself, others or plant equipment 2. Follow safe isolation procedures, LOTO, voltage checks 3. Participates in ESH tours, raising ESH issues as appropriate 4. Participates in risk assessments as required 5. Attend all mandatory training’ Critical Skills 1. Plan and schedule tasks with the customer department to ensure understanding and agreement whilst responding to the highest priority task 2. Work with a high degree of autonomy, seeking advice from co-workers and management when required. Qualifications Essential Qualifications - BS:7671 18 th Edition Wiring regulations (preferred) - Compex (preferred) - Apprenticeship in electrical maintenance or other relevant electrical trade - HNC (preferred). Relevant Experience - Maintaining and installing various electrical items such as motors, Variable Speed Drives, lighting, PLCs - Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings - Fault finding Pharmaceutical or Chemical Production experience
