The Midwifery Clinical Placement Facilitator plays a crucial role in developing Student Midwives and shaping future maternity services across East Kent Hospitals. This role is based at Kent and Canterbury Hospital but is trust-wide.
Our team is committed to putting women and families at the heart of everything we do. We are on an exciting improvement journey, offering a rewarding, flexible, and supportive role that provides a full range of midwifery care.
The facilitator supports mentors and student midwives to deliver high-quality, responsive care. They are responsible for working within the NMC Code of Conduct and Trust policies.
Continuing Professional Development is essential, and the facilitator leads on training in evidence-based practice, reviews current teaching methods, and supports learning and mentoring.
We are one of the largest hospital trusts in England, serving around 800,000 people across five hospitals and community clinics. Our vision is 'great healthcare from great people', guided by our values: 'People feel cared for, safe, respected, and confident that we are making a difference'.
We promote a new way of working called 'We care', empowering staff to lead improvements daily. We seek compassionate individuals to join us on this journey.
