Job Title: Business Development Manager - Timber Windows and Frames
The Company
Our client is a well-established manufacturer of wooden products for the building industry. Founded over a century ago, they are acknowledged market leaders in timber doors and windows. The company is renowned throughout the industry, including main contractors, builders, architects, and self-builders, for their quality products, excellent service, and dedicated staff.
The Role
We are seeking an experienced Business Development Manager to promote their premium timber windows and frames to architects, developers, builders, installers, and contractors. Key responsibilities include:
1. Account management of existing clients
2. Collaborating closely with design and estimating teams
3. Developing and implementing strategic business development plans
4. Working across the UK
5. Identifying and pursuing new business opportunities
This role covers both new build and refurbishment projects, typically involving listed buildings.
The Candidate
The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic, dynamic, and ambitious to build a successful career within a growing construction company. Essential qualifications and experience include:
* Field sales experience in business development
* Background in selling into the built environment market sector
* A proven track record of winning and nurturing ongoing business
* Good understanding of the route to market, including architects, developers, builders, installers, and contractors
Salary: GBP 45,000 – GBP 55,000 depending on experience, plus car allowance and an uncapped GBP 10,000 OTE.
Location: The role covers the UK, with suitable living locations including Nottingham, Derby, Leicester, Coventry, Norwich, Ipswich, Kings Lynn, Northampton, Peterborough, Cambridge, Colchester, Lincoln, Birmingham.
