Deputy Store Manager
Location: Burton Upon Trent
Salary: £26,000 per annum
Hours: 37.5 (5 in 7 days – Sunday to Saturday)

Through grants and emergency equipment loans, we ensure children get the vital equipment they need, when they need it. Our free nurse helpline offers crucial support and information, as well as a listening ear. Our campaigns help give disabled children and their families a voice, even influencing laws to benefit them. We also support adults with additional needs through volunteering and employment opportunities, fostering career development.
We are unique among charities. All stock in our stores is new, donated by retailers, creating a haven for bargain hunters and fashionistas seeking high street products at discount prices.
The Opportunity
This is an exciting chance for an experienced Deputy Store Manager or Team Leader seeking their next career step to make a meaningful difference.
The Deputy Store Manager role in Newlife is distinctive, enabling you to create the extraordinary by driving store sales, which in turn fund support for disabled children and their families. No two days are the same, and due to the dynamic nature of our product range, you must be adaptable, quick-thinking, and capable of reorganizing layouts and merchandising to boost sales.

You will be responsible for developing and nurturing this culture in your store, reflecting the MVV. As an experienced retail manager, you will be results-driven, motivated by continuous improvement. What We Are Looking For
You must be commercially savvy, people-oriented, and committed to operational excellence, always prioritizing the customer.
You should have previous retail management experience and be capable of working effectively alongside and managing the store team and Store Manager. Your role will involve maximizing sales and profit through the effective management of a team comprising paid staff and volunteers, focusing on KPIs, creative merchandising, and delivering excellent customer service.
You need to be flexible, willing to work additional hours when necessary, and open to covering shifts at other Newlife stores as required to meet business needs.
