Salary: £58,239 to £67,030 per annum

About the Role: Join North Yorkshire Council’s Children and Young People’s Service as a Group Manager. In this leadership position you will support the development and delivery of care planning and support teams across the county, working with the existing Group Manager to shape practice, influence partners, and deliver high‑quality services that protect and support children and families.
Responsibilities
• Partner with the Group Manager to lead and develop care planning and support teams. • Demonstrate transformative leadership, shaping and driving practice across the county and localities. • Translate national policy and drivers for change into practice for your teams. • Manage significant financial resources and ensure service delivery within national regulations and standards. • Apply knowledge of the Ofsted Inspection Framework and national safeguarding policies to improve outcomes.
Qualifications and Experience
• Proven experience in a strategic managerial role within social work or a related field. • Strong leadership, communication and stakeholder influence skills. • Ability to operate autonomously, articulate policy to practice and deliver results. • Sound knowledge of national drivers for change and safeguarding frameworks. • A good understanding of the diverse needs of children and families.
