Overview
Software Development - Risk Technology Team. This role will perform at a senior level to develop new software to meet business requirements and advance the technology stack. The company has moved forward with cloud technology; deliverables will include cloud-enabled applications. There is an initiative to move the current platform to a cutting-edge SOLID framework.
Responsibilities
* Develop new software to meet business requirements and take the technology stack forward.
* Contribute to cloud-enabled applications as part of a cloud modernization initiative.
* Work within the Risk Development Team to monitor market risk, credit risk and liquidity risk, and support a portfolio of projects and BAU work to enable business growth.
Key Skills & Abilities
* Experience with developing web apps with ASP.Net Core (C#).
* Knowledge of RESTful APIs and microservices architecture.
* Experience with relational databases and SQL.
* Experience of Azure cloud adoption, including understanding of Azure Functions, Logic Apps, App Services, and Azure Service Bus.
* Experience of AzureDevOps is an advantage.
* Proven experience in design and implementing micro-services architectures.
* Knowledge of financial markets and securities products; experience in market risk and post-trade settlement processing is an advantage.
* Ability to analyze information, understand business needs & requirements, and derive the best possible systems solution.
* Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with people at varying levels of technical knowledge.
* Excellent analytical, strategic thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate business needs into application and operational requirements.
* Good work ethic with a focus on meeting deadlines and objectives.
Specific Experience and Qualifications
* Undergraduate level knowledge of computer science fundamentals.
* Track record of successfully delivering software development projects.
* Experience supporting live systems.
* Experience in financial risk systems in investment banking.
* Experience in the latest data platforms is an advantage.
