Finance Assistant - City of London The Finance team at The Ned keep the wheels turning, the numbers adding up, and the business running smoothly so our teams can focus on delivering unforgettable experiences. As a Finance Assistant, you'll play a key role in supporting the Finance team by managing Accounts Receivable processes. Finance Assistant About The Ned The Ned and Ned's Club are a global collection of hotels, clubs, spas, and restaurants for like-minded individuals to meet, work and have a good time. The Ned launched in 2017 in the heart of the City, in the former Midland Bank headquarters. The Ned City of London houses Ned's Club - a private members' space, gym and rooftop - alongside a public spa, a whole floor of event spaces, ten restaurants and bars, and 250 hotel bedrooms. Where you'll work You'll be based at The Ned London, in the beautiful old Midland Bank building in the City (there isn't a nicer building in the city, but we're biased). We're in the office five days a week as we believe finance works best when we're close to the action and connected to the wider business. As part of the Finance team, you will: Perform income audits to ensure all revenue is accurately recorded, including auditing discounts and negative postings. Ownership of credit card reconciliations and monitoring chargeback queries Manage cash handling processes and maintain compliance with internal controls. Maintain and ensure that all the Hotel commission claims/invoices are thoroughly checked and processed for payment on a weekly basis Review Paymasters and Open Folios daily and managing F&B no-show and deposit processes, liasing with Front Desk Support smooth cash flow by managing petty cash disbursements and producing monthly orders Assist with weekly credit meetings and provide timely responses to AR queries within 48 hours Contribute to month-end success by supporting journals, reporting, and other finance tasks Take ownership of special projects and tasks as requested by your department head or Hotel management What you can bring to the role: Strong communication skills are essential as you'll be supporting managers and leadership teams across the business Your eye for detail and organisational skills will keep our numbers accurate and processes running smoothly Confidence with data and an analytical mindset will ensure every figure adds up Proactive and reliable, you can juggle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment while meeting tight deadlines Comfortable working independently, yet collaborative when it counts Tech-savvy with strong Excel skills; experience with Micros, Opera, Elavon, Amex and Planet is a bonus What The Ned can give you: Salary of 30,000 - 32,500 depending on experience Complimentary meals in our friendly team restaurant, Neddy's including monthly payday breakfast Exciting learning and development programmes to help progress your career Exclusive rates at The Ned for staying and eating for you, your family and friends Wellbeing and health benefits, including Rewards Gateway and Stream, with access to gym, shopping, and cinema discounts Your birthday off after a year of service and more holiday after five years Paid volunteer day Refer a friend scheme Regular social events, including an annual pool party Employee assistance programme - 24/7 advice and support Reward and recognition initiatives At The Ned, we don't just celebrate our diversity, we challenge ourselves to do even better.
