Commercial Workshop Supervisor Location: Kidderminster Salary: £45,000 per annum (OTE £47,000) Hours: 45 hours per week Shift: 12:30 - 22:00 About the Role ISQ Recruitment are looking for an experienced Workshop Supervisor to join a well‑established commercial vehicle workshop in Kidderminster. This is a key position for an accomplished technician who is ready to take on additional leadership responsibilities while still carrying out hands‑on repair work. You'll supervise a team of technicians, oversee workflow, support with diagnostics, and ensure repair standards, productivity and workshop quality remain consistently high on the late shift. What You'll Be Doing Carrying out repairs, servicing and maintenance on HGVs, trailers and associated vehicles. Conducting inspections, routine maintenance, and preventative service tasks. Supporting technicians with fault diagnosis, repair planning and technical guidance. Monitoring job progress and ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and to manufacturer standards. Ensuring accurate completion of job cards, records, and warranty documentation. Maintaining workshop cleanliness, stock control and adherence to H&S procedures. Providing roadside or on‑site support during emergency breakdown situations when required. Liaising closely with the Workshop Manager to ensure smooth shift operations and effective workload planning. Skills & Experience Required Level 3 qualification in HGV Maintenance & Repair (NVQ, City & Guilds or IMI). Strong diagnostic capabilities and the ability to identify mechanical issues in line with DVSA standards. Proven experience as an HGV Technician; supervisory experience is highly desirable. Full UK driving licence (HGV licence advantageous but not essential). Confident communicator with the ability to support and guide fellow technicians.
