About the Role
We're looking for an experienced Architect to join our team. This is a full‑time, onsite role based in Barking, with regular travel to sites. You'll be joining a team of six, in a small business that has a big impact.
Key Responsibilities
* Preparing and presenting design proposals to clients.
* Producing detailed drawings.
* Preparing tender and planning applications.
* Building relationships with contractors, clients and other industry professionals, including negotiating, attending regular meetings and co‑ordinating the work of contractors.
* Making site visits to check progress.
* Using problem‑solving skills to handle requirements and any issues that may arise during the build.
* Ensuring each project is on track to be completed within the agreed time frame.
About You
* Strong visual awareness and attention to detail.
* Strong drawing skills, with the ability to work in 3D preferred.
* Innovative with a wide imagination, able to think outside the box.
* Strong IT and Maths skills.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to create and present presentations.
* A multitasker, with great time‑management skills, able to plan and organise projects.
* A problem solver, who thinks logically, analytically and creatively.
* Someone always striving for better, and looking to develop their skills with their team's support.
* A passion for the industry.
Required Experience for the Role
* Revit
* AutoCAD
* Planning Applications
* Building Regulations
* Commercial and residential planning work
* At least 3 years experience as an Architect
* Fluent in written and spoken English
