Financial Reporting Manager
Location: Milton Keynes - Hybrid - 2 days in office
Reporting to: Group Financial Controller
The Role:
We are seeking an experienced Financial Reporting Manager to join our Group Finance team. This is a pivotal role with responsibility for the Group’s external financial reporting and statutory obligations across the UK.
Reporting to the Group Financial Controller, you will work closely with colleagues across various departments, as well as external auditors and advisors. You will play a leading role in ensuring high-quality, compliant financial reporting.
Key Responsibilities:
* Group Reporting - Ownership of the preparation of the annual IFRS consolidated Group accounts.
* Lead the planning and delivery of interim and year-end statutory reporting.
* Ensure financial statements comply with all relevant accounting standards and regulations.
* Act as a key point of contact for external and internal auditors, supporting interim reviews, controls work, and year-end audits.
* Oversee the preparation and finalisation of UK statutory accounts, working with auditors and the Company Secretary.
* Provide technical accounting guidance, including assessing the impact of changes in IFRS/GAAP.
* Post general ledger journals and maintain balance sheet reconciliations.
* Analyse and report on financial performance.
* Lead the annual budget process and quarterly forecasting.
Skills and Experience:
* Fully qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA or equivalent).
* Significant experience in a similar Group reporting or technical accounting role.
* Strong IFRS technical expertise.
* Proven experience at a parent company consolidating subsidiary accounts.
* Confident communicator able to liaise with stakeholders at all levels, including senior management.
* Strong analytical skills and commercial financial insight.
* Comfortable dealing with complex financial and technical accounting matters.
