As we continue to develop and enhance our in-house residential service, we currently have a vacancy at The Alders and at Brunswick Place (Stafford short breaks).
Our working pattern varies and is based on a rota to include five 8-hour shifts per week, including two rest days. Our new increased pay range also recognises the challenging nature of the role. We embrace strength-based approaches and offer a rewarding work-life balance.
Main Responsibilities
* You will take a lead role to support and work alongside the Registered Manager to ensure the home meets the requirements of the Children’s Homes Regulations and Quality Standards.
* Oversee the effective day-to-day running of the children’s home whilst being responsible for direct supervision and support of the residential team.
* Support young people in all areas of their lives, creating an environment where they can flourish and achieve their full potential.
* Work on your own initiative and deal with challenging and demanding situations, requiring resilience and flexibility.

The Ideal Candidate
* Experience in a management role and working with children and young people in a residential setting.
* Minimum NVQ/QCF Level 3 in Caring for Young People.
* Ideally, NVQ/QCF Level 4 or above in Management, or willingness to undertake this qualification.
* Must be aged 22 or over, due to legal requirements linked to safeguarding and the specific needs of residents.
