Job Description: Credit Controller – Open Market
How does this role contribute to our collective success?
Aids premium collection, enhances cash flow and minimizes debt.
What will you do in this role?
* Monitor and manage outstanding premium balances across multiple insurance products
* Liaise with brokers and underwriting staff, on at least a monthly basis, to resolve premium discrepancies and ensure prompt payment
* Chase overdue balances via phone, email and face to face meetings, maintaining a professional and diplomatic approach
* Maintain records of all communications and ensure insurance accounting system notes are up-to-date and accurate
* Escalate problematic accounts to Underwriting teams and Premium Accounting management and recommend appropriate action
* Liaise with A&R team on insurance system reconciliation issues
* Liaise with Offshore teams where required
* Be aware of London Market news re financial positions of brokers within the remit of the role

* A good knowledge of Lloyd’s/Company bureau systems
Role Factors:
In this role, you will typically be required to be in the office 9 days per calendar month and additionally if requested
