What We're Looking For
To be successful as a SEN Teacher, you will ideally have:
Essential
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
Degree-level qualification
Experience teaching in a primary, secondary or specialist setting
Knowledge of the National Curriculum
Strong classroom management and behaviour support skills
Commitment to safeguarding and promoting pupil welfare
Ability to build positive relationships with pupils, families and colleaguesDesirable
Experience supporting pupils with SEND and SEMH
Knowledge of AQA, ASDAN, BTEC and GCSE pathways
Experience delivering Entry Level English and Maths
Knowledge of subjects including Science, PE, Geography, Art, Design Technology, IT, History, Music or Modern Foreign Languages
Strong ICT skills to support learning and assessment
