This role is for a major programme of works at Barrow-in-Furness, specifically Building Services for Submarine Manufacturing Facilities (including HVAC, MEP & Mechanical Services for New Buildings).

Role Overview
The Mechanical Site Supervisor role will suit a hands‑on mechanical engineer who prefers to be on site rather than working at a desk. You will support a major Navy upgrade project within a nuclear‑regulated environment, modernising the Barrow‑in‑Furness site to support future submarine production.
Key Responsibilities
* Deliver building‑services focused mechanical installation.
* Support daily activity across lighting, HVAC, pipework, chillers, security fencing and civil interfaces tied to mechanical packages.
* Work closely with supervisors to maintain progress, safety checks and quality standards.
* Solve practical issues on site and keep work fronts moving.
* Ensure tasks are carried out safely within nuclear‑regulated requirements.
Qualifications & Experience
* British National only, due to nuclear regulatory rules.
* Able to meet BPSS security checks.
* Strong background in mechanical building services.
* Experience in regulated settings such as nuclear, defence or energy preferred.
* Apprentice‑trained or vocational route valued.
* HNC, HND, Degree or equivalent experience.
* Confident in a boots‑on‑the‑ground engineering role.
* Comfortable coordinating site activity and supporting daily delivery.
Working Pattern
* Monday to Friday.
* Early start on Monday.
* Early finish on Friday around lunchtime.
* Long‑term programme with a consistent pipeline.
Location
Barrow‑in‑Furness (commutable from the North West).
