Special Educational Needs Coordinator (SENCO) | Reading | Full-Time / Part-Time We are currently recruiting for a dedicated and experienced SENCO to join a welcoming and inclusive school in Reading from September. This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate SEND professional who is committed to ensuring every child receives the support they need to achieve their full potential. The Role Lead and manage SEND provision across the school Identify, assess, and monitor pupils with special educational needs and disabilities Coordinate and review EHCPs, SEND Support Plans, and interventions Work collaboratively with teachers, support staff, parents, and external agencies Ensure the school remains compliant with SEND legislation and the SEND Code of Practice Monitor pupil progress and evaluate the effectiveness of support strategies Provide guidance, training, and support to colleagues on SEND best practice Champion inclusion and promote positive outcomes for all learners The Ideal Candidate Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) National Award for SEN Coordination (NASENCO) or willingness to complete the qualification Previous SENCO experience or substantial SEND leadership experience Strong knowledge of SEND legislation and statutory requirements Excellent communication, organisation, and leadership skills A child-centred approach with a passion for inclusive education What We Offer Competitive salary or daily rate Flexible full-time and part-time opportunities Supportive school leadership and collaborative staff team Ongoing CPD and professional development opportunities Dedicated recruitment consultant support throughout the process At Supply Hive, safeguarding is a top priority.
