We are working in partnership with Hall Morrice LLP, a highly regarded independent firm of chartered accountants and business advisers, to appoint a Corporate Tax Senior Manager as part of their continued growth. Hall Morrice is a long established Scottish firm with a strong reputation for technical excellence, collaboration and long term client relationships. Importantly, the firm remains independently owned, with no private equity backing, allowing it to focus on quality, people and sustainable growth rather than short term commercial pressures. This is a senior leadership role within the corporate tax team, offering responsibility for a diverse client portfolio alongside the opportunity to influence the direction of the department and the wider firm. The successful candidate will lead on complex corporate tax compliance and advisory work, manage and develop a high performing team, and play an active role in business development and innovation. You will lead the delivery of corporate tax services across a varied client base, taking ownership of complex assignments and acting as a trusted adviser to clients. The role involves overseeing corporation tax compliance, providing advanced technical advice and identifying tax planning opportunities aligned with clients long term objectives. You will review complex corporate tax cases, ensuring the highest technical standards and compliance with UK legislation, while providing clear, constructive feedback to colleagues. You will mentor and develop junior and senior team members, support their progression, and contribute to internal training and knowledge sharing. You will also contribute to innovation and continuous improvement, particularly around technology enabled compliance processes, and play an active role in business development, networking and raising the firm s profile in the market. The firm is seeking a CTA qualified (or equivalent) corporate tax professional with significant experience in complex compliance and advisory work. Commercial awareness and the ability to build trusted client relationships are essential. The position offers flexible working, with the ability to be based remotely anywhere in Scotland, alongside occasional travel to Aberdeen.
