Senior Support Worker - Ty Seren
Hourly rate: £12.50 to £13.75
Full time - 40.25 hours per week - dependent on qualifications and experience

We have an exciting opportunity in Swansea for an experienced Senior Support Worker to join our residential home in Ty Seren, Gowerton. You will support individuals with complex needs associated with autism, assisting in the day-to-day management of the home and helping to improve the lives of the individuals we support. You will play a vital role both in the home and the wider organization, acting as a positive role model to both staff and supported individuals.

At Ty Seren, we support adults with complex needs associated with autism. We embrace sector-leading practices and blend education, care, and therapeutic support to provide tailored placements for unique individuals.
There are plenty of opportunities for socializing with communal lounges, a large kitchen and dining area, and several acres of fields and woodland.
Responsibilities:
* Provide personalized care to each person in their daily activities, including personal care, learning, and social interactions.
* Foster a safe and positive environment, ensuring emotional and physical well-being.
* Implement individualized care plans under the guidance of a supportive senior team.
* Support individuals during recreational activities, outings, and community integration.
* Collaborate with the wider team to maintain accurate records and documentation.
* Promote independence, self-esteem, and confidence, celebrating achievements and milestones.
What we are looking for:

* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build strong relationships.
* Resilience and patience to adapt to individual needs.

* Basic IT skills for record keeping and communication.

* A driving license is advantageous but not essential.
* This role involves regulated activity with adults and requires an enhanced DBS with barred list check.
Requirements:
* Experience in a support environment.
* QCF Level 3 qualification.
* Knowledge of statutory regulations.
* Ability to lead by example and act as a positive role model.
* Understanding of safeguarding and health and safety risk assessments.
