We’re looking for an experienced engineer to architect, build, and deliver telecom-grade voice applications on Oracle Communications Converged Application Server (OCCAS). You’ll own end-to-end technical delivery—from architecture and hands-on SIP/IMS development through customer-prem deployment, integration, troubleshooting, testing/validation, and follow-on support. You’ll collaborate with customers and internal teams (product, engineering, operations) to deliver scalable, resilient, secure services across service provider and enterprise communications environments.
What You'll Do
1. Architecture & design: Define end-to-end architecture for OCCAS applications (service design, interfaces, deployment topology, NFRs); produce HLD/LLD, call flows, requirements/specs, and acceptance criteria; set engineering standards (patterns, logging/metrics, error handling).
Hands-on development:
2. Design and develop SIP/IMS and converged SIP+HTTP applications on OCCAS using SIP Servlets, Java EE, and related components ( EJBs, web apps).
3. Build integrations with network elements (SBCs, CSCF) and enterprise systems (REST/HTTP, messaging, databases, OSS/BSS).
4. Contribute to WebLogic-based deployments/configuration where applicable.
5. Delivery & consulting: Own features from definition to production readiness; manage dependencies/risks; support deployment, tuning, RCA, and complex issue resolution; contribute to estimation/release planning; provide domain expertise for customer engagements and business development.
What You'll Bring
6. Strong experience building production systems in Java / Java EE (code reviews, unit/integration testing, CI/CD).
7. Voice application development using SIP Servlets (JSR 289).
8. Expert knowledge of SIP (RFC 3261) and related RFCs; familiarity with telecom signalling in voice networks.
9. Experience designing solutions and translating requirements into robust architectures.
10. Understanding of networking and distributed systems (TCP/UDP, TLS, LB, resiliency).
11. Agile delivery experience; strong written/spoken English and customer-facing skills.
Desirable
12. Direct experience with OCCAS (or similar converged/SIP app servers).
13. Web and EJB development skills using WebLogic
14. Performance engineering (profiling, capacity, latency, tuning).
15. Containers/automation (Docker/Kubernetes), CI tooling (., Jenkins), observability (logs/metrics/traces).
16. Scripting/other languages (Python/Perl/Lua/C++); Git/Subversion.
17. Oracle session delivery / SBC experience; DevOps practices.
What You'll Offer
18. Competitive compensation and a comprehensive benefits package.
19. Structured onboarding and personalized training, including induction.
20. Flexible and hybrid working arrangements for optimal work-life balance.
21. Opportunity to work with modern technology stacks and collaborate with global teams.
22. Defined career development pathways, mentorship, and continuous learning programs.
23. Inclusive work environment that values diversity and individual contributions.
At Oracle, we don’t just respect differences—we celebrate them. We believe that innovation starts with inclusion and to create the future we need people with diverse backgrounds, perspectives, and abilities. That’s why we’re committed to creating a workplace where all kinds of people can do their best work.
