Job Description:
A multi-billion international single-family office of prominent tech entrepreneurs, based in London, is seeking a dynamic and highly experienced Investment Director with deep expertise and a strong network in private markets, as well as a solid understanding of multi-asset class investing.
The ideal candidate will have 7-10 years of buy-side experience within family offices or asset management firms (AUM $3bn+). This role offers a unique opportunity to join a lean, professional team managing a substantial multi-asset class portfolio across private and public markets globally, including private equity and venture capital fund investments, hedge funds, public equities, fixed income, and direct investments.
Responsibilities:
* Participate in the development of the private markets strategy (private equity, venture capital).
* Contribute to strategic discussions on other asset classes and the overall portfolio.
* Oversee and enhance due diligence and monitoring processes for private market investments.
* Conduct in-depth due diligence on private equity fund managers and prepare investment recommendations.
* Monitor, evaluate, and optimize the existing investment portfolio.
* Build and maintain strategic relationships with fund managers, co-investors, family offices, and advisors.
Qualifications:
* A minimum of 7 years of experience in a senior buy-side role, focusing on sourcing, evaluating, and monitoring private and public market investments.
* Experience within family offices, asset management firms (AUM $3bn+), institutional investors, or private equity firms.
* Extensive experience in multi-asset portfolio management, including portfolio construction and monitoring.
* Hands-on expertise in fund investments across private equity and venture capital.
* Strong analytical skills and a structured, critical-thinking approach to investment decision-making.
* Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to distill complex investment ideas into clear, actionable insights.
* An established network of fund managers, co-investors, and direct investment partners.
* Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a small, high-performance team.
This is an office-based role in the St James’s area, London.
