Overview of the role
This is a pivotal position within a collaborative finance function, offering exposure to a broad mix of statutory accounts, management reporting, and client advisory work. As a Senior Accountant, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality financial services to a varied client base, ensuring compliance while also identifying opportunities to add commercial value. The role is based in London, offering strong hybrid working flexibility and clear progression pathways within the accountancy and advisory sector.
What you’ll be doing
* Managing a portfolio of clients, overseeing end-to-end accounting requirements
* Preparing statutory accounts, VAT returns, and management reports
* Supporting budgeting, forecasting, and cashflow analysis
* Acting as a key point of contact for client queries and advisory support
* Reviewing junior team outputs and providing constructive guidance
* Ensuring compliance with relevant financial regulations and standards
* Identifying opportunities to improve processes and add value to client relationships
* Liaising with internal stakeholders to support seamless service delivery across operations in London
What we’re looking for
* Qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA or equivalent) with solid post-qualification experience
* Strong technical knowledge gained within practice or a client-facing environment in London
* Proven experience working within the accountancy and advisory sector
* Confident communicator with the ability to build strong client relationships
* Strong attention to detail with a commercial mindset
* Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment
* Experience mentoring or supporting junior team members desirable
