Crisis Support Worker
Based at: Central Hall, Keighley & Kenburgh House, Bradford
Grade D1: £25,235 FTE per annum (pro rata for part-time posts)
Type: Permanent
Hours: You can apply for a minimum of 2 shifts per week.
Shifts Available:
* Wed & Sat: 4pm - 11:20pm (Bradford)
* Sun: 7:10pm - 2:30am (Bradford)
You will deliver one-to-one crisis support to clients face-to-face or over the telephone. Safe Spaces is a non-clinical, supportive environment designed to help people in crisis stay safe, work through and understand their feelings, and then help them access the support they need going forward.
Main Duties:
* Deliver one-to-one support sessions to people in mental health crisis.
* Provide recovery-focused and person-centred support, building confidence and helping clients move forward.
* Manage referrals, book appointments, and conduct follow-up calls after crisis sessions.
* Make onward referrals and signpost where necessary.
* Assist in risk assessments with multi-disciplinary staff, highlighting changes in clients' presentation relevant to their safety plan, and provide feedback.
* Participate in shift handovers and team meetings.
* Offer outreach sessions within the community, such as at care homes, community centres, schools, and in clients' homes.
* Liaise with professionals and organizations across the district, including referrers and partners.
* Ensure client notes and information are recorded accurately and kept updated.
* Work in line with safeguarding policies and procedures, escalating concerns appropriately.
