Our customer, an innovative legal tech company, is seeking two experienced lawyers to support the development of cutting-edge contract analysis tools. The company, currently with approximately 100 employees, is building AI-driven products designed to help legal teams edit complex contracts and understand the downstream impact of those changes. This is an exciting opportunity to shape the future of legal technology supporting transactional lawyers.

About the Role:

You will work closely with the product team to develop legal intelligence features, especially those that identify interdependencies and structural impacts within long-form contracts. Your insights will help evaluate existing tools and contribute to the evolution of an AI-first contract editing platform.

Key Responsibilities:

* Analyze complex contracts (e.g., credit agreements, SPAs) to identify and map interdependencies between clauses, definitions, schedules, etc.
* Collaborate with product managers and developers to refine cause-effect features (e.g., “change clause 27.3, then check Schedule 4 and the definition of ‘N’”).
* Provide legal insights on how changes to clauses affect the overall structure and intent of contracts.
* Evaluate outputs from existing product features and offer feedback on accuracy and completeness.
* Support the design of innovative contract editing and risk flagging tools.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

* 5–6 years PQE, ideally from a top-tier law firm or in-house legal team.
* Senior Associate level – experienced in managing deals with partners.
* Strong background in corporate and finance law (M&A, lending, credit facilities, etc.).
* Ability to understand and explain the knock-on effects of structural changes (e.g., removing a revolving credit facility or a letter of credit).
* Intellectually curious, proactive, and interested in legal tech innovations.
* Comfortable working with ambiguity and in collaborative, non-hierarchical environments.
* Experience working with sample/test contracts to shape legal tech products.
* Bonus: Familiarity with IP law is useful but not essential.

Work Structure & Flexibility:

* Remote, project-based work with flexible hours.
* Engagement models may include hourly billing or others, depending on mutual agreement.
* The initial focus will be on evaluating existing product features, with potential for ongoing collaboration.
