Couple Job, Isle of Islay, Scotland
Greycoat Lumley's client are seeking a Couple for their Private Estate on the Isle of Islay, Inner Hebrides Islands, off the West Coast of Scotland. The location has flight, ferry and road links, has a strong sense of local community and is a wonderful place to live surrounded by stunning scenery. The property will be used for a mixture of private use, events and exclusive use lettings. Applicants must be flexible, adaptable and proactive
Housekeeper Duties:
1. Housekeeping for the Main Property with 10 bedrooms with en-suites and occasionally other properties on the estate when needed
2. Manage other members of staff and be hands on themselves. Extra staff come to help at busy times
3. Laundry and ironing
4. Running errands
5. Shopping for household supplies etc.
6. Deep cleaning
7. Catering for shoot days and other estate events
8. Ideally cooking involved but would be only occasional
Gardener/Groundsman/Maintenance
9. Gardening - the garden includes woodland, lawns and borders. All plant care, planting, pruning, hedge trimming and lawn care. Use and care of garden machinery
10. General household hands on maintenance - ensuring the property is kept well maintained all year round
11. Keeping the outside area of the house clean and tidy
12. Driving guests
13. Cleaning cars
14. Running errands
15. Able to help on other estate events such as shoot days and community days.
16. Accommodation:
17. 3 bedroom (2 double and 1 single room) in the estate grounds family bathroom, lounge, kitchen and porch at front and rear of property
18. Council tax paid by employer and rent free
19. Utility bills to be paid by employee, heating and hot water by biomass system and will be invoiced monthly.
20. Dogs are accepted (within reason)
Mobile provided for work purposes
Use of vehicle for work purposes only
Driving for both is essential and must be comfortable with dogs.

Salary: £65,000 to £70,000 GPA joint
Days: 5 days per week - must be flexible when the estate is busy with guests
