Overview
As a Senior Homecare Nurse, you will be working at the forefront of our services visiting patients in a community setting to deliver medical treatments such as IV infusions, TPN treatments and both intramuscular and sub cut injections whilst also training patients to administer their own medication. You will also take responsibility for coaching and mentoring members of the Homecare team in alignment with their identified roles and objectives. You will strive to ensure care and services are delivered efficiently and effectively across the region and you will support the ongoing development of new and existing patient pathways to service.
Responsibilities
* Visit patients in a community setting to deliver medical treatments (IV infusions, TPN, intramuscular and subcutaneous injections).
* Train patients to administer their own medication.
* Coach and mentor Homecare team members in alignment with their roles and objectives.
* Ensure care and services are delivered efficiently and effectively across the region.
* Support the ongoing development of new and existing patient pathways to service.
* Travel between patients throughout the day; a full UK driving license is essential.
Qualifications
* Experienced nurse with a valid NMC PIN.
* Cross-trained in IV therapies including HPN, ERT, pharmacology, or commit to completing this training within 6 months of starting.
* Coaching and mentoring qualities; a relevant qualification in this space is desirable.
* High level of care and empathy to help patients achieve their goals and regain independence.
* Well-organised with the ability to manage own workload and itinerary; basic IT skills are required.
* Full UK driving licence is essential due to travel between patients.
