Job overview
To support the Medical PA in providing comprehensive administrative support to the medical teams within Cromwell House.
The Clinical Secretary will undertake general office duties, including typing medical correspondence, taking minutes of ward rounds, and managing calls from patients, carers, relatives, and health and social care professionals.
Main duties of the job
* Undertake audio/shorthand/clerical duties, including minute-taking, clinical letters, reports, discharge correspondence, and clinical data inputting. Support related to consultant tutorials may also be required.
* Provide first point of contact for written and telephone enquiries, using judgment to determine validity and priority.
* Handle admission enquiries with confidentiality and judgment.
Liaise with GPs regarding clinics and domiciliary visits, and coordinate with outside agencies such as Social Services, the Coroner’s Office, hospitals, and other medical services, using professional judgment.

Shift details include Saturday (midnight to midnight), any weekday after 8pm and before 6am, and all time on Sundays and public holidays.
Benefits include 27 days annual leave plus bank holidays, increasing to 29 after 5 years and 33 after 10 years.
Person specification
* Minimum 1 year experience in administration
* GCSE Maths and English
* Experience in a clinical setting
* Experience with electronic systems and IT knowledge
