About the Role
We’re currently seeking experienced Part Time Retail Security Officers to join our team at Northland Shopping Centre.
This role is ideal for security professionals who are confident working in busy retail environments, comfortable managing customer conflict, and able to stay calm under pressure. You’ll play a key role in maintaining a safe, welcoming environment for customers, retailers, and staff.
What You’ll Be Doing
In this role, you will:
1. Provide a visible security presence and exceptional customer service
2. Patrol and monitor the shopping centre and surrounding areas
3. Respond professionally to incidents, emergencies, and alarm activations
4. De-escalate customer conflict and manage high-pressure situations
5. Control access points and monitor entry/exit areas
6. Complete clear, accurate incident reports and logs
What We’re Looking For
To be successful in this role, you’ll have:
7. A current Security Licence
8. Valid First Aid & CPR certification
9. Minimum 2 years’ experience in retail security
10. Strong verbal and written communication skills
11. The ability to work independently and as part of a team
12. Flexibility to work rotating shifts, including nights and weekends
