Purpose:
Lead a team of Maintenance Engineers to ensure efficient installation, upkeep, and repair of plant equipment, site services, and facilities.
Key Responsibilities:
Team Leadership:
* Allocate workloads and manage team schedules.
* Monitor performance and conduct reviews, return-to-work interviews, and manage absences and holidays.
* Mentor apprentices and support team development through training and upskilling.
Maintenance Operations:
* Oversee maintenance requests and ensure timely resolution.
* Drive preventative and predictive maintenance strategies.
* Support fault diagnosis and escalate issues as needed.
Reporting & Communication:
* Provide daily updates to the Engineering Manager.
* Generate monthly KPI reports on plant and team performance.
* Maintain clear communication within the team and across departments.
Compliance & Safety:
* Ensure all work complies with Health & Safety standards.
* Maintain high standards of cleanliness and organisation.
* Manage contractor visits and ensure safe working practices.
