We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Construction Manager to join our expanding team, working on high-profile projects within the pharmaceutical construction sector. This role will be pivotal in ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality and safety standards.
Your Role
You will act as the key day-to-day project interface, ensuring that project objectives are met. You will have overall responsibility for organising, monitoring, and delivering construction (and demolition) activities, working closely with client teams, contractors, suppliers, and stakeholders.
The key accountabilities:
* Maintain a safe working environment at all times and ensure compliance with all Health, Safety, and Environmental regulations
* Manage and coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, and direct labour to deliver works safely, on time, and to specification
* Oversee and monitor project programmes, ensuring milestones and deadlines are achieved
* Ensure adequate resourcing, effective workforce scheduling, and site logistics management
* Conduct regular site inspections, HSE audits, and quality checks, addressing and resolving issues promptly
* Lead and support a proactive EHS programme, promoting workforce engagement and recognition
* Prequalify and assess contractor competence, ensuring alignment with quality, safety, and environmental management plans
* Liaise closely with clients, consultants, and stakeholders, providing clear communication and progress updates
* Monitor works on-site, recording findings and escalating concerns as required
* Assist with cost control, variation management, and site expenditure reporting where necessary
* Maintain accurate site records including daily reports, risk assessments, and progress updates
* Support and attend pre-start briefings, delivering key messages to contractor organisations
About You
* Degree in a construction-related subject
* Full UK driving licence
* Construction management experience in pharmaceutical construction
* Experience working in GMP environments
* Strong knowledge of construction legislation, methods, and materials
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to engage at all stakeholder levels
* Ability to manage multiple projects, resources, and deadlines effectively
* Strong leadership and collaborative skills
* Proficiency in IT and reporting tools
* Member of the CIOB or other relevant professional body
* Qualified First Aider
* Chartered/qualified with APM, CIOB, etc.
* Experience as a tier 1 construction manager
* Experience with NEC3, NEC4, or JCT contracts
* Strong stakeholder collaboration and lifecycle project management knowledge

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced EHS Manager to join our growing team. This pivotal role will ensure the project complies fully with health, safety, and environmental standards while fostering a strong safety culture across the site.
Your Role
Reporting to the Operations Lead or Managing Director, you will take overall responsibility for EHS management on site, ensuring compliance with local and governing regulations. You will work closely with the client team, subcontractors, suppliers, and stakeholders to maintain a safe, compliant, and environmentally responsible working environment.
The key accountabilities:
* Lead and enforce the implementation of EHS policies, procedures, and best practices across the construction site
* Ensure full compliance with UK HSE legislation, CDM 2015 regulations, and client-specific safety requirements
* Conduct regular site inspections, audits, and risk assessments to identify hazards and drive continuous improvement
* Develop, deliver, and monitor EHS training, inductions, and toolbox talks for site personnel and subcontractors
* Investigate incidents, near misses, and unsafe acts; produce detailed reports including root cause analysis and corrective actions
* Liaise with clients, regulatory bodies, and project stakeholders on all EHS matters
* Promote a strong safety culture on site through leadership, visibility, and consistent communication
* Maintain site environmental controls, including waste management, pollution prevention, and sustainable practices
* Keep accurate records of safety documentation, inspections, permits to work, and statutory compliance
* Prequalify designers, contractors, and other team members to ensure EHS competence per Wade CMC standards
* Lead and implement a Safety Schedule detailing safety activity calendars and frequency
* Drive a proactive EHS programme encouraging workforce recognition, engagement, and feedback
* Manage safe systems of work, site rules, security, and induction processes based on Wade CMC procedures
* Liaise with the Principal Designer regarding ongoing risk management from the design phase
About You
* Significant experience within construction, life sciences, or major projects
* NEBOSH General or NEBOSH Construction certificate (or equivalent)
* Minimum 10 years’ experience in a similar EHS management role
* Strong knowledge of CDM regulations and management systems
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills
* Strong negotiation, numeracy, IT, time-management, and organisational skills
* Ability to engage effectively with internal and external stakeholders at all levels
* High attention to detail with strong problem-solving skills
* Comfortable working in a culturally diverse environment
* Membership of CIOB or equivalent professional body
* Formal qualifications at Level 3 or above in Environmental and/or Quality Management
