About the Role
As an SEMH Teacher, you’ll play a vital role in delivering high-quality, inclusive education as part of our strong “One Team” ethos. You’ll work collaboratively with colleagues across education, care and therapy, ensuring a consistent and joined-up approach to every child’s learning and development.
You’ll plan and deliver engaging, well-differentiated lessons aligned to the relevant key stage and accreditation pathways, always tailored to meet individual needs. By working in a trans-disciplinary way, you’ll seamlessly integrate academic learning with emotional regulation, behaviour support and social development—helping pupils re-engage with education and rediscover their potential.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Contribute fully to the One Team approach, delivering consistent, high-quality education and care for pupils with SEMH needs
2. Plan, prepare and deliver a differentiated curriculum aligned to key stage and subject areas
3. Integrate academic learning with social, emotional and behavioural development in line with individual learning plans
4. Proactively remove barriers to learning, enabling all pupils to participate and succeed
5. Deliver short-, medium- and long-term learning programmes that meet accreditation requirements and individual SEN profiles
6. Create stimulating, purposeful learning environments that encourage curiosity, engagement and achievement
7. Use creative teaching strategies, high-quality resources and meaningful displays to promote active learning
8. Ensure all pupils make strong progress in line with their abilities, needs and potential
