Job Description
5. Assists shop & field operations by providing in person engineering support for heavy equipment assembly, installation and troubleshooting.
6. Functions as a “boots on the ground” liaison between the operations organization and the engineering hub.
7. Reports/relays field nonconformances to the quality and engineering team.
8. Stands ready to rapidly deploy to the field to gain “eyes-on” situational awareness and troubleshoot.
9. Accompanies sales/operations managers to the field to meet with customers to make technical presentations.
10. Reviews/audits field installation procedures, operations and maintenance manuals.
11. Facilitates field trials of new products to determine design limits and needed improvements.
12. Regularly visits field locations and to develop rapport with TechnipFMC field service personnel and customers.
13. Work time distribution is 50% traveling to field and 50% office & shop.
You are meant for this job if:
14. Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering, Petroleum Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Engineering Technology.
15. Working knowledge of specific process technologies, procedures, products and applications.
16. Knowledgeable of wellhead, frac or pressure pumping product lines.
17. Familiarity with automation and control systems preferred.
18. Oilfield product design experience.
19. Must be familiar with/willing and able to learn CAD and Database systems related to Engineering functions.
20. Ability to troubleshoot product non-conformances with little supervision on field service/plant location.
21. Ability to provide product life-of-field data for product improvement.
22. Working knowledge of competitor products preferred

23. Comfortable occasionally conducting physically demanding and strenuous tasks while working outside in inclement weather for up to 12 hours at a time.
24. As a degreed engineer, is undaunted by the opportunity to gain valuable hands-on experience and professional recognition that can only be achieved by working alongside field service technicians and equipment operators in a fast-paced and austere field environment.
25. Enjoys executing tasks with a high degree of autonomy and minimal supervision.
