About the Role
We are recruiting a Clinical Nurse Specialist for Epilepsy who shares our vision to be trusted to provide consistently outstanding care and exemplary service to our patients. This is a fantastic opportunity to work in an expanding field. You will build specialist knowledge, gain valuable experience, and boost your skills while working to support the development of the epilepsy service and meet the needs of children and young adults.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage the clinical caseload, providing highly specialist nursing input and continuity of care to children and young people with epilepsy, focusing on self‑management, attendance, and treatment monitoring, and preparation and liaison for transition to adult services.
* Ensure each patient is assessed, and their care planned, implemented, and evaluated in negotiation with the patient, carers, and other healthcare professionals accurately and ensure this is communicated and documented.
* Provide expert nursing support and advice, education, counselling to support patients and families, either virtually, via telephone or face to face, providing practical and emotional support to patients and families in a tailored and timely manner.
* Meet with patients and their families as required to help resolve their concerns, providing written responses to formal complaints as required by the Divisional Manager.
