We are an established, well respected, family owned and run IFA, with over 20 years’ experience in experience in providing independent financial advice and are looking for a full-time Paraplannner to work alongside and then replace our retiring Paraplanner, thereafter assisting us to manage and grow our professional, bespoke and ethical practice.

This is an office based role and you will be working with a close-knit team alongside an experienced Paraplanner currently operating from our town centre premises close to Folkestone Central and the Leas.

You will either be a fully-qualified (Level 4) Paraplanner or be working towards fully-qualified status with some exams under your belt, or have a minimum of 3 years’ providing administrative support to IFAs in a similar environment.

As part of the role we will help support you towards further qualifications in the future.

Key Responsibilities:

* Complete research and cashflow modelling to support client advice
* Being the first point of contact for clients on behalf of Advisers where possible
* Write suitability reports
* Preparation of Client reviews and customer requests as well as acting as a point of contact for our clients to deal with day-to-day queries.
* Complete all relevant administrative tasks where required
* Maintain product and industry knowledge
* Adhere to industry guidelines whilst maintaining compliance at all times
* Ability to produce business correspondence, proof read for grammar, spelling and punctuation with a high degree of accuracy.
* Illustration requests.
* Keep up to date with financial products, industry guidelines, rules and regulations.
* Arranging for plans to be submitted to provider companies.

Due to the nature of the business, the role may also include additional responsibilities considered reasonable.

Qualifications and Key Experience:

* Previous experience as a Paraplanner or IFA Administrator in a Practice is necessary
* Diploma qualified is desirable but consideration will be made for candidates who are working towards their Diploma and who have the relevant skills and experience to do the job.
* Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a similar role
* Confident working both independently and as part of a team
* Able to prioritise tasks whilst maintaining high accuracy and attention to detail at all times
* Strong financial knowledge with a keen interest in keeping up to date with new products and regulations
* Proficiency in financial planning software (ideally Intelligent Office and FE Analytics) and Microsoft Office Suite.

You will be joining an established IFA firm and be given the opportunity to progress and be supported with further industry qualifications in the future.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: £35-45,000.00 per year

Hours: Mon – Fri 8.30am to 5pm
