The Security Systems Administrator is part of the corporate security team within a global biopharmaceutical company. The role involves managing the Technical Security programme across international markets, engaging with third-party integrators, supporting implementation, commissioning, regional maintenance, and troubleshooting. The position can be based in Greater London, UK, or Cork, Ireland.
Responsibilities
* Uphold Pinkerton's core values of integrity, vigilance, and excellence.
* Support deployment and functionality of security solutions, including CCTV and access control systems.
* Troubleshoot system malfunctions regionally.
* Create and maintain preventative maintenance schedules.
* Participate in project meetings and site reviews.
* Manage system installations, upgrades, and refreshes.
* Communicate with stakeholders, including clients and end users.
* Monitor project timelines and mitigate delivery risks.
* Evaluate and recommend new security technologies.
* Develop best practices and training materials to optimize system use.
* Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Applicants should have a bachelor’s degree in computer science and at least two years of experience in security integration, project management, or consulting, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Pinkerton values diversity and inclusion.
* Understanding of managed network infrastructure.
* Knowledge of electrical installation principles.
* Experience with IP-based CCTV installation and maintenance.
* Experience with global access control systems (e.g., S2, Lenel, Honeywell, C-Cure).
* Understanding hardware integration techniques.
* Attention to detail and workload prioritization skills.
* Professional communication skills for global and external stakeholders.
* Knowledge of security compliance (preferred).
* Innovative problem-solving skills.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office; CAD skills (desirable).
* Security or technical certifications (desirable).
Working Conditions: Must be capable of performing essential functions with or without accommodations, including exposure to sensitive information, regular computer use, and occasional travel. Good communication skills and physical ability to operate office equipment are required.
