About the role
This position is for a Level 2 Classroom Assistant to support full-time pupils for a one-year contract.
Location: Ysgol Cenarth, in the village of Cenarth, Ceredigion. The school has 86 pupils and fosters a happy, friendly environment with a focus on students.
Responsibilities include:
* Supervising and supporting pupils, including those with special needs, ensuring their safety and access to learning activities
* Building positive relationships with pupils tailored to their individual needs
* Challenging and motivating pupils, promoting confidence and self-esteem
* Encouraging interaction and participation in activities under teacher supervision
* Assisting with planning and delivering specific learning activities
Candidate requirements include:
* Strong numeracy and literacy skills in both Welsh and English
* Excellent communication skills and ability to build relationships across different age groups and abilities
* General understanding of the national curriculum and foundational learning strategies
* Ability to work constructively and flexibly as part of a team, with clear responsibilities and roles within the classroom
* CGC3 qualification for Classroom Assistants, or equivalent experience or qualifications
