ROLE OVERVIEW
As a Junior Account Director in the PR team, you will take a leadership role in developing and delivering strategic communications for a portfolio of high-profile clients. This position requires strong strategic thinking, confident client counsel, and the ability to oversee multiple accounts with efficiency and creativity.
You will be responsible for guiding and inspiring your team, setting clear direction, and ensuring excellence in execution across all projects. Working closely with Directors and senior colleagues, you will play a pivotal role in shaping client strategies, building influential networks, and ensuring campaigns deliver measurable impact.
This role demands excellent relationship and management skills, a deep understanding of the media landscape, and the ability to translate client objectives into innovative, results-driven campaigns. You'll act as a trusted advisor to clients while nurturing talent within the team, driving standards, and contributing to the growth of the agency.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
CLIENT MANAGEMENT
● Lead client relationships with confidence, acting as a senior point of contact across accounts.
● Provide high-level strategic counsel, ensuring campaigns deliver against objectives and adapt to evolving needs.
● Anticipate challenges and proactively provide solutions, maintaining trust and stability with clients.
● Confidently lead client meetings, strategy sessions, and presentations.
● Begin to identify opportunities for growth within existing accounts, presenting new ideas and initiatives.
MEDIA RELATIONS
● Lead the development of media strategies that deliver meaningful, high-quality coverage.
● Leverage strong senior-level media relationships to create impactful opportunities for clients.
● Guide the team in building and maintaining journalist and influencer contacts, ensuring a robust and relevant network.
● Oversee press materials and narratives, ensuring they are strategically aligned and executed to a high standard.
EVENT MANAGEMENT
● Oversee the planning and delivery of client events, ensuring they align with broader strategic goals.
● Provide senior oversight on guest list curation, high-profile invitations, and media attendance.
● Represent the agency at client events, hosting confidently and ensuring success.
TEAM LEADERSHIP
● Provide clear direction and leadership across accounts, ensuring projects are delivered to the highest standard.
● Mentor, motivate and develop junior and mid-level team members, fostering a culture of creativity, accountability, and collaboration.
Support Senior Account Managers and Account Managers in managing workloads, resolving challenges, and growing their leadership skills.
● Uphold and champion the agency's values, ensuring a positive, supportive and high-performing team environment.
INDUSTRY INSIGHT & ANALYSIS
● Stay ahead of trends across hospitality, lifestyle, and media, bringing fresh thinking and proactive recommendations.
● Lead analysis and reporting, ensuring clients receive meaningful insights and recommendations for future growth.
● Contribute to agency thought leadership and reputation by identifying opportunities for commentary, partnerships, or industry presence.
AGENCY CONTRIBUTION
● Actively support the new business process by contributing ideas, strategies, and pitches.
● Strengthen the agency's profile by building and maintaining relationships within the industry.
● Work closely with Directors to shape and evolve the agency's approach, ensuring excellence in client service and team development.
