About the Role:
We are seeking a passionate and skilled Specialized Technician to join our team. This full-time role is ideal for a hands-on individual who thrives in the high-energy world of racing and autonomous vehicle technology. Your expertise will impact our performance on the track and autonomous motorsports development.
The position is based in Sint-Truiden, Belgium, with frequent international travel for testing and racing events. Flexibility in work schedule, including occasional evenings and weekends, is required.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Vehicle Management: Lead setup, maintenance, and track-side operations of autonomous race cars and high-performance electric vehicles.
2. Mechanical Maintenance: Perform disassembly, inspection, optimization, and reassembly to ensure peak performance and safety.
3. Track Operations: Manage vehicle operations during live sessions, including pit stops and real-time adjustments.
4. Logistics: Oversee vehicle transport logistics across Europe and internationally, collaborating with the Technical Director.
5. Workshop Management: Maintain an organized and efficient workshop environment for vehicle prep and maintenance.
6. Safety: Ensure compliance with safety regulations, flag protocols, and emergency procedures.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
1. Mechanical Skills: Knowledge of high-performance vehicle systems, suspension tuning, tire management, and optimization.
2. Electronics Knowledge: Understanding of advanced electronic systems like steer-by-wire and brake-by-wire, with experience in MoTeC systems.
3. Motorsport Experience: At least 3 years in a professional racing environment demonstrating capability and understanding of motorsport dynamics.
4. Technical Qualification: Diploma or certification in automotive, mechanical engineering, or related field.
5. Adaptability: Interest in autonomous driving tech and eagerness to innovate in sports and racing environments.
6. Teamwork: Strong communication skills and collaborative mindset.
7. Driving License: Valid Driver's License.
