We have an exciting opportunity for a Grounds Maintenance Operative to maintain open spaces / green infrastructure of all Saffron managed areas to a high standard.
Key Responsibilities Include:
* Maintain all grassed areas, hedges, and shrub beds to the recognised standard using powered hand tools and ride-on mowers.
* Undertake plant protection product application, garden clearances, watercourse management and equipment maintenance as required.
* Liaise with the Senior Grounds Maintenance Operative to ensure work schedules are up to date and adjusted accordingly.

Our Ideal Candidate Will Have:
Educations and Qualifications:
* A recognised Horticultural qualification level 2 or 3 (City and Guilds) or equivalent.
* Holds a Front Loader qualification and NPTC Units NPTC PA1 + PA6, would advantageous.
* Full, current, valid driving licence with B + E Trailer entitlement or equivalent.
Experience:
* Relevant experience and knowledge in all types of grounds maintenance (green space) work.
* Relevant experience of working with powered hand tools (Brush cutters, hedge cutters, blowers) and ride-on mowers
* Experience of working in extreme temperatures and conditions due to seasonal weather conditions.
Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
* Able to work as part of a team and also able to work independently without the need for close supervision.
* Excellent time management skills, including an ability to prioritise workload and meet agreed deadlines.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, possessing the ability to liaise with various audiences.
* Ability to use a mobile device (mobile phone/tablet) to manage workload, send and receive emails, access apps and MS Teams for meetings / training.
