Role Overview
A supportive and inclusive primary school in Hounslow is seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to provide 1:1 support for a pupil with complex additional needs. This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about building strong relationships and providing consistent, tailored support to help a child thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.
You will work closely with one pupil throughout the school day, supporting learning, emotional regulation, and engagement with classroom routines. The pupil presents with Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC), communication difficulties, and sensory processing needs, requiring a calm, patient, and structured approach.

Key Responsibilities
* Provide consistent 1:1 SEN support throughout the school day
* Support the pupil with emotional regulation and sensory needs
* Assist with accessing the curriculum and classroom activities
* Implement strategies outlined in the pupil’s EHCP and support plan
* Promote independence, confidence, and positive behaviour
* Support transitions between activities and environments
* Observe, record, and report pupil progress
* Work closely with the class teacher, SENCo, and external professionals
