Your new role
This exciting opportunity offers a chance to lead and manage a diverse portfolio of development projects across various sectors, including residential, commercial, health, and education. The successful Associate Director will be the trusted advisor for clients, overseeing the delivery of high-quality transport assessments, statements, travel plans, and other technical reports crucial for successful planning outcomes. You can expect the role to include and not be limited to:
1. Secure new business opportunities and develop strong relationships with clients and stakeholders.
2. Prepare comprehensive and persuasive transport assessments, statements, travel plans, and other technical reports.
3. Conduct traffic surveys and data analysis to assess the transport impacts of proposed developments.
4. Lead and manage a team of transport planners, providing mentorship and guidance.
5. Manage project budgets and ensure timely and efficient delivery within agreed deadlines.
6. Liaise with local authorities, planners, and other professionals to ensure project compliance and achieve positive planning outcomes.
7. Stay abreast of the latest trends and innovations in transport planning and sustainability.
About you
We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Associate Development Transport Planner. You will thrive working closely with a knit team of planners engineers and other stakeholders to to support the various projects. You will have the experienced in planning and design of transportation systems that promote accessibility, safety, and sustainability. You would also be expected to have:
1. Bachelor's or master’s degree in urban planning, Transportation Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
2. Proficient experience with specific transport modelling software like TRICS, TEMpro, LINSIG, or Junctions9.
3. Strong project management skills, including the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
4. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, with a keen attention to detail.
5. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships and collaborate effectively with clients and stakeholders.
6. Contribute to the development and growth of the development transport planning business.
