Were currently recruiting for an experienced CNC Machinist on behalf of a well-established and growing manufacturing business within the timber and door production sector. The successful candidate will play a key role in the production process, ensuring CNC machinery is programmed, operated, and maintained to the highest standards while supporting operational efficiency and product quality. The Role Setting, programming, and operating 3- and 5-axis CNC wood machines Producing high-quality door components in line with production schedules Working from production specifications and completing paperwork accurately Carrying out ongoing quality control checks throughout machining processes Preparing materials for machining including cutting, sanding, priming, and sorting components Identifying machining errors and clearly marking acceptable materials Supporting machine maintenance and minimising downtime where possible Maintaining a clean, organised, and safe working environment Reporting faults, quality concerns, or operational issues promptly Skills & Experience Required Previous experience operating and programming 3- or 5-axis CNC machinery Experience within timber, woodworking, or manufacturing environments preferred Ability to work accurately from specifications and technical drawings Strong understanding of quality control and production processes Proactive approach to improving efficiency and reducing waste Forklift licence advantageous but not essential Strong communication and teamwork skills Personal Attributes Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills Calm and level-headed under pressure Reliable, target-driven, and quality-focused Positive attitude with a strong team ethic Whats On Offer £15.00 £20.00 per hour depending on experience Private medical insurance Increasing annual leave with service Additional holiday purchase scheme Employee discount platform Med24 Digital GP access Employee Assistance Programme (EAP) Bike2Work scheme Long-term career opportunities within a growing business Benefits: Additional leave Cycle to work scheme Employee discount Gym membership On-site parking Private medical insurance
