Job Description
Purpose of the Job
To support the employer, encourage community engagement, assist with personal budgeting, and provide emotional support.
Hours of Work
6 hours per week, weekdays only, 2 x 3‑hour shifts. Flexibility is essential.
Pay
£15.25 per hour plus £0.40 mileage when using your own vehicle.
Key Responsibilities
* Help increase engagement in meaningful activity, particularly active pursuits.
* Accompany the employer on walks in the local community.
* Assist in developing confidence and the ability to access the community independently.
* Support management of personal finances, including budgeting.
* Help develop coping strategies.
* Use your vehicle to take the employer to activities further afield.
* Provide opportunities for a pleasant drive followed by a coffee.

Employment Conditions
Position requires satisfactory references and a DBS Disclosure (Police Check). The cost of the check will be covered by the Local Authority. Verification of the legal right to work in the UK will be conducted before employment begins. The role is part‑time and requires a National Insurance number. Employment commences under an initial trial period, with wages paid on a four‑weekly basis and appropriate holiday pay provided.
