Join a supportive and friendly school team Make a meaningful impact by supporting a child’s learning and development Work closely with experienced teachers and SEN staff Opportunity for a longer-term or permanent role The Role Provide 1:1 support for a pupil with a visual impairment Help adapt learning activities to ensure the pupil can fully access the curriculum Support the child’s engagement, confidence and independence in the classroom Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to support learning goals Assist with classroom preparation and resources where needed We’re Looking For Experience working with children in a school setting (SEND experience desirable) Confidence supporting a child’s learning on a 1:1 basis A patient, caring and adaptable approach Strong communication and teamwork skills Experience with visual impairments is not essential, but a willingness to learn and support the pupil’s needs is important If you’re passionate about supporting children and helping every pupil succeed, we’d love to hear from you.
