About You
You’ll be joining a highly successful and diverse Media department as a Lecturer in Digital Media, where your passion for the subject and experience in industry will directly influence and inspire learners. This is your chance to bring real‑world digital media, 3D animation, and game development experience into the classroom and help shape the next generation of creative professionals. You’ll bring strong interpersonal skills, a positive and empathetic approach, and the confidence to manage a classroom effectively. Tracking student progress and using this information to plan targeted support and interventions will also be an important part of your role, helping every learner reach their full potential. Ideally, you’ll have experience teaching or delivering training in the workplace, although this isn’t essential as full training and support will be provided. You’ll be able to teach across Level 1 to Level 3 programmes and motivate learners to succeed in their studies. We’re particularly interested in hearing from you if you have hands‑on experience in 3D modelling, 3D animation, and real‑time game engines using software such as Blender, Maya, or 3ds Max, and Unreal Engine or Unity. Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, After Effects, Premiere Pro) and video editing is also highly desirable. Your industry expertise will help learners gain practical skills and insight into creative media careers. This role is ideal for someone who wants to combine teaching with sharing their professional experience, inspiring young people, and making a real impact on their career pathways.
