Job Title: M&E Pre-Construction Manager Location: London / South East Salary: £75,000 – £90,000 Package (DOE) The Company A well-established and growing M&E contractor delivering high-quality projects across the commercial, residential, and data centre sectors. With a strong pipeline of secured work and projects typically ranging from £2m to £15m, they are looking to strengthen their pre-construction team with an experienced M&E Pre-Construction Manager. The Role As an M&E Pre-Construction Manager, you will play a key role in the early stages of project delivery, leading the bid and pre-construction process from initial enquiry through to handover to operations. You will work closely with clients, consultants, and internal teams to ensure technically robust and commercially competitive submissions. Key Responsibilities * Lead the full pre-construction process across multiple M&E projects * Manage and coordinate tender submissions, ensuring deadlines and quality standards are met * Review technical drawings, specifications, and employer’s requirements * Develop cost plans, value engineering solutions, and risk assessments * Liaise with clients, consultants, and supply chain partners * Support bid strategy, programme development, and procurement planning * Work closely with estimating and design teams to produce competitive and compliant bids * Attend client meetings and presentations as required Requirements * Proven experience in an M&E Pre-Construction / Bid Management role * Strong technical knowledge across mechanical and electrical systems * Experience delivering projects within commercial, residential, or data centre sectors * Ability to manage multiple tenders simultaneously * Strong commercial awareness and understanding of project costing * Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills * Background in either mechanical or electrical discipline (preferred) What’s on Offer * Competitive salary and benefits package * Clear progression pathway within a growing business * Opportunity to work on high-value, technically challenging projects * Collaborative and supportive working environment If you're an experienced M&E professional looking to move into or progress within pre-construction, this is a fantastic opportunity to join a forward-thinking contractor with a strong pipeline of work.
