About the role
Our SEND Level 2 Caseworkers ensure that children and young people with the most complex special educational needs are well supported to have the best possible life outcomes through effective assessment of their needs and active administration of their EHC plans.
Main duties of this role include:
* Responsibility for day to day monitoring and tracking of SEND placement consultations, monitoring of timescales and statutory responsibilities.
* Assisting with development of processes and procedures.
* Liaison with other teams in Children's services to ensure communication is of the highest possible standard, timely and purposeful.
* Contributions to delivery of training on aspects of placements and governance.
* Managing a caseload of children and young people.

About you
We are looking for applications from individuals who have:
* NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in a relevant Health, Education or Social Care subject.
* Significant previous experience working with children/young people in a health, education or social care setting.
* The ability and aptitude to work in close partnership with children, young people, families, schools and agencies.
* Extensive working knowledge of relevant SEND legislation.
* Excellent communication/interpersonal skills coupled with drive and initiative.
Above all else you will need the drive and dedication to put children, young people and their families at the heart of your practice. Given the need to travel across Lincolnshire, a valid driving license and access to a vehicle is essential. Mileage will be paid.
