Metro Rod works with the likes of Equans, Amey, Aldi, Mitie, Greggs, McDonalds, Wetherspoons and many more across FM, Social Housing, Property Management, Retail, Industrial and Leisure sectors. Founded in 1983 and part of Franchise Brands, we provide drain clearance and maintenance services nationwide. Within the Waste & Water Services Division of Franchise Brands, there are also Willow Pumps and Filta — two expanding businesses focused on sewage pumps and commercial kitchen solutions, offering a complete one‑stop shop for keeping water and waste flowing.
Responsibilities
* Carry out a range of services associated with the cleaning, clearance, repair and maintenance of customers’ drains.
* Operate high‑pressure water jetting equipment in line with rigorous safety standards.
* Conduct surveys.
* Provide an exceptional standard of customer service and technical expertise.
* Accurately record work/job details via a range of bespoke internal/client systems and applications.
* Communicate effectively with high‑profile commercial and domestic clients and Metro Rod Support Centre colleagues to ensure excellent customer service at all times.
* Participate in an on‑call rota to help service clients 24/7/365, typically one week in four, variable according to business needs.
Qualifications
* Previous reactive drainage experience within a commercial and domestic setting, or experience working on‑site in a construction/ground‑working/civil environment.
* Excellent problem‑solving ability and sound technical knowledge.
* Positive, flexible, can‑do attitude.
* Willingness to work unsociable hours.
* Full clean UK driving licence.
