Management Accountant | Hybrid | Sunderland
Our client, a respected professional services firm, is seeking a Management Accountant to join their growing finance team based in Sunderland.
This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified or part-qualified accountant to take on a broad, hands-on role supporting senior leadership, with the chance to influence financial processes and performance across the firm.

Key Responsibilities
* Prepare monthly management accounts and financial statements
* Develop budgets and financial forecasts
* Monitor financial performance and highlight variances
* Support the Finance Director on planning and reporting
* Supervise an Assistant Management Accountant
* Oversee the credit control function
* Submit VAT returns and payroll data
* Ensure regulatory compliance and audit readiness
* Produce departmental P&Ls and accurate cost allocation
* Handle regulatory and ad hoc reporting (e.g., ONS, SRA, surveys)
About You
* ACA / ACCA / CIMA qualified or part-qualified (or equivalent)
* Strong experience in management accounting
* Ideally from a professional services background (not essential)
* Proficient in accounting systems and Excel
* Strong analytical, communication, and organisational skills
